Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of THORS

Time for an update.

Holy cow, I cannot believe it is already April.
Time flies when you are having fun I suppose.
Let’s pick up where we left off.
If you remember back to November,
I was modeling a furnace for work.

Where do I work?!
Well, I’m glad you asked.

I work for a THORS, LLC as a 2d/3d artist.
THORS is The Helpful Online Resource Site.
They are basically the Facebook or Linked-in of the Industrial Field.
THORS provides a way to O.E.M.s, Suppliers, Manufacturers, Foundries, and many more to interface in a few different ways
as well as problem solve issues existing in the industry.
Users have the option to host their capabilities, needs, and other specifics to find, or be discovered by, future clients.
We helps manage existing options and generate new opportunities.
It provides a competitive edge. So if you are in this field and don’t use THORS, you are doing yourself a great disservice.

But that is just the tooling and networking side.
There is a learning side as well and that’s where I come in.
THORS has a training portion that is totally unbelievable.
We use 2d and 3d animations to convey concepts that you normally would never be visible to the naked eye.
I often compare it to the show on “How It’s Made”

For example, in one animation, we view the microscopic and atomic views of metal as is goes through the heat treatment process.
It is kind of like being Superman. I can see things with my super powers and show them to you too!

It is pretty awesome!

To get a better understanding of what it is that I do and what THORS is, check out our new public page here:
Here is the impact video we just completed.

It shows a bit more about us as a whole.
You can even see my furnace and some really good examples of the 3d usage.

If you are quick, you can even catch a glimpse of the back of my head!   🙂

Lastly, here are a few renders of the completed furnace.

That’s all for now folks.
Catch you on the flip side!
